Team GB’s Olympians will prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games in the world-class surroundings of Stanford University, after the British Olympic Association (BOA) secured the California campus as its exclusive preparation camp.
In support of the United States and California’s hosting of the 2028 Olympics, Stanford will provide Team GB with access to its athletic facilities on campus, for acclimatisation, training and performance purposes.
The agreement will allow around 300 Olympic athletes from Great Britain and Northern Ireland to train prior to, and during, the Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles, California from 14-30 July 2028.
Team GB’s access agreement includes the use of specific facilities for the following sports:
- Archery
- Athletics
- Aquatics (swimming, diving & water polo)
- Badminton
- Boxing
- Cricket
- Fencing
- Football
- Gymnastics
- Hockey
- Judo
- Lacrosse
- Rugby 7s
- Squash
- Table Tennis
- Weightlifting
